Based in Washington, DC, Neil Alpert is a seasoned leader with a diverse career spanning the nonprofit, corporate, and public sectors. From 2012 to 2015, he served as president and CEO of LaserLock Technologies, a publicly traded company specializing in anti-counterfeiting solutions for print and digital formats. Initially joining as chief operating officer, Neil Alpert was instrumental in the company’s recapitalization and its eventual sale to a New York-based ownership group. Since then, Mr. Alpert has been Managing Director of Potomac Management, a bespoke advisory firm providing objective and strategic advice to individuals, families, and select corporations and institutions.
Prior to his tenure at LaserLock, Mr. Alpert was Director of Institutional Relations at the Washington National Opera from 2007 to 2010. In this role, he secured significant city and federal funding while also tapping corporate and foundation sources. Earlier, as national campaign director at AIPAC from 2005 to 2007, he led a nationwide development team that raised over $40 million annually.
His early career includes advisory and fundraising roles at Capital City Advisors in Washington, DC, the American Red Cross in Rhode Island, and the American Cancer Society in Connecticut. His contributions have earned him accolades such as the Mayor’s Arts Award for Innovation in the Arts and the Margaret Gorman Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Miss District of Columbia organization.
Holding a BA in communications from the University of Rhode Island, Neil Alpert serves or has served on several boards, including the National Infrastructure Advisory Council and the Institute of World Politics.
